```These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of KnitConvert ("the App"), operated by The Guilded Gauge ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
KnitConvert is a knitting gauge pattern converter tool. You may use it for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:
KnitConvert is a conversion tool. Patterns you import or paste into the App remain your responsibility. You should only use patterns you own or have the right to use. We do not store your pattern content on our servers — all pattern processing happens on your device.
We respect the intellectual property of knitting pattern designers and publishers. KnitConvert does not reproduce, distribute, or store any pattern content.
To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@theguildedgauge.app if you suspect unauthorised access.
KnitConvert offers a free tier and optional Pro subscriptions. Subscriptions are managed through Apple's App Store and RevenueCat.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings. Refunds are handled in accordance with Apple's refund policy.
Core features — including Copy Pattern, Download .txt, and all accessibility features — remain free permanently and will never be paywalled.
KnitConvert uses the Anthropic Claude API to power abbreviation lookups. AI-generated responses are provided for informational purposes and may occasionally be inaccurate. We are not liable for errors in AI-generated content. Your queries are not stored beyond the active session.
All content, design, code, and branding in KnitConvert is owned by The Guilded Gauge and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
KnitConvert is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or produce perfectly accurate conversion results. Gauge conversion involves rounding and estimation — always review converted patterns before knitting.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Guilded Gauge shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, yarn, or project time.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time by contacting us at hello@theguildedgauge.app.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the App or by email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which The Guilded Gauge operates. Any disputes will be resolved in the applicable courts of that jurisdiction.
